Pedro Araujo joins TCNA as Vice President of Tax from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), where he held several positions, most recently as a Manager in the Global Structuring-Financial Services (GS-FS) practice. During his time at PwC, Mr. Araujo has accumulated extensive experience in tax structuring and consulting in the alternative asset industry, with an emphasis on cross-border transactions and international tax planning.

Mr. Araujo has continuously focused on designing and implementing tax-efficient strategies for private equity funds, tailoring their global investments and management structures. His expertise includes structuring domestic and offshore funds, cross-border acquisitions and dispositions; cash repatriation planning; managing outbound tax consequences of US investors; and mitigating exposure of foreign investors to the US trade or business rules.

Prior to his time at PwC US, Mr. Araujo also worked at PwC Brazil, where he specialized in corporate tax matters for local and multinational companies in various industries, with a particular focus in the financial industry.

Mr. Araujo holds both a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Graduate Degree in Corporate Tax Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (Brazil) and a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Tax from New York University School of Law. Mr. Araujo is also a member of the Brazilian Bar Association.
