Carmen Alonso serves as the Head of UK & Iberia at Tikehau Capital. Mrs. Alonso joined in 2015 and has responsibility in both regions across all investment strategies including Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Assets and Capital Markets. She is also responsible for fundraising Tikehau Capital’s funds.
Mrs. Alonso is a member of the Investment Committee for Tikehau Capital’s direct lending funds and broadly syndicated loans and Tikehau Capital’s Sustainability Strategy Committee. She will also join the Fund III GP Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Tikehau Capital, Mrs. Alonso held the position of Managing Director at Morgan Stanley in their European Leverage Finance practice. She initially started her career in Zurich in the Leverage Finance department of UBS. She later moved to London where she worked at Merrill Lynch and HVB. Mrs. Alonso has also gained corporate experience managing the global Corporate Finance activities of GSK.
Mrs. Alonso holds a BsBA in Finance and International Management from Boston University School of Management and MBA from Babson College Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business. In 2022, she attended the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Programme.
